Even my Hero4 in 1080p 60fps would do this sometimes, but not as much - I'd just assumed previously that the increase in resolution had something to do with why it's almost CONSTANTLY lagging now. Software is either GoPro Quik or DaVinci Resolve, but even trying to play the raw footage in QuickTime it won't play smoothly. Not in the market for another one yet, but if there's no way to squeeze ANYTHING else out of my current computer, I may upgrade to a new Air or Pro with the M2 chip, even though I don't want to spend the money. Got a bunch of footage from a couple dives I did earlier this month that were several hours apiece and I want to view/edit it, but everything is super choppy in playback on my laptop and I know exactly jack shit about graphics/photo/video editing, so I come to GD to ask what I can expect out of my current MacBook.
